From the sun-scorched valleys of Puebla, the Vázquez family carried a recipe north in 1991. It crossed the border folded into memory, then settled in Queens, where it was guarded for decades behind a kitchen door that never bore a sign. The burritos were made for family, friends, and the occasional stranger someone was willing to vouch for.
After 35 years, under the direction of Don Burro, the family has authorized the release of a limited quantity of burritos to the general public.
Open now exclusively for catering.
